Hey, y'all! So, I've actually been wanting to do this review/funny story for a long time, and I am so excited that I can finally do one on a product that I actually own, instead of one almost like it (color wise-that'll make sense as you read this post). What has been the hold up for me getting to this review? I haven't been able to find the case anywhere!! I have wanted this case for a long a** time, but I just couldn't get my dang hands on it!
My obsession with this case started back in March. And I do not regret the process of it because I now finally own a super adorable Tech 21 White Evo Mesh phone case!
Around that time, I worked a trip with a 28 hour layover in Daytona Beach and one of my crew members asked me what type of phone I had. At that time, I had an iPhone 6 (due to lack of appropriate phone memory and phone issues, I now have a rose gold iPhone 6s). He then told me the story of how he ordered a phone case but picked the wrong size in the process. The awesome part of this is that he had recently just got an iPhone SE-so he was bound to a contract, meaning there was no way he'd suddenly get the appropriate sized phone for the case (lol). The even more awesome part, he offered me the case and promised to leave it in my work mailbox the next time he went into work. This was exciting to me because I love phone cases. If you read my Richmond and Finch White Marble Phone Case Review blog post, you'll know just how much I love phone cases.
A week or so went by, and I finally saw the case in my work mailbox! It was from Tech 21 and all I knew about this company at the time was that I would constantly see their cases in Target and they looked pretty cute (and expensive).
Although the case he gave to me was a really nice and durable looking case, it wasn't the color that I was really into-it was a mix of black/red/brown (I learned that this case color is called SMOKE). I like my phone cases to have a feminine but protective vibe about it, and although this one had the protective vibe, it didn't have a feminine chic appearance.
Although my initial reaction to it was joy, I knew I wasn't going to be able to rock it for more than two days at the time (or the times that I would put it on my phone). Shortly after receiving this case, I started seeing a similar case. It was also by Tech 21 and it was clear with grey/white sides. It looked beautiful to me. As time went on, I literally saw this case almost every single time I went to work (crew members had it, or at least three passengers per flight). I searched everywhere for it: Amazon (but the shipment dates weren't up to my patience liking), Target (didn't have the white/grey one I wanted but they had plenty of the Smoke colored one), Verizon Store (the ones in my state didn't have it), The AT&T Store (they literally were like, "Tech 21? What is that?"), so it's safe to say I gave up for a while.
*it's important to note that while I couldn't find the white one, I found plenty of blue and Tiffany blue colored ones. I bought a blue one for my girlfriend, and she has had it on her phone for two months now. We are officially that gay couple that matches their phone cases. This is another reason why I had to have the white one, duh!*
But of course I was still seeing the case everywhere! Literally everywhere to the point that just a week ago, I was deadheading (basically getting paid to sit in a passenger seat) and this awesome girl sitting next to me had the case I wanted. I had the brown one (from my crew member) on my phone, and she liked it! We were about to swap cases until she realized that she had a credit card holder stuck to the back of the case. And I mean unless she was about to include a free credit card holder, all the cards, and her identification cards, I don't think it would've been a fair swap (ha!). So, yep. Plan. Fail.
I decided to stop looking so hard for the case. And of course, it's when you aren't looking for things that they start popping up. Well, thanks to great Karma, I found it in the Atlanta airport in the D concourse, near gate 24! (I actually walked into the InMotion tech store in the C concourse, and the sweet girl there directed me to the store in the D concourse for the color I was looking for). Well, after journeying across that huge airport twice, I found the white evo mesh case!! It was originally $35, but since I am considered an airport employee, and I think I received a 20% discount (don't quote me. I could have the numbers off a little).
So! What's my opinion now that I finally own this cute case? I love it!

- My initial reaction when opening the case: pure joy
- My reaction once I put it on my rose gold phone: extreme joy
- My reaction while typing a ridicuslously long text to my girlfriend about my journey through the airport to get the case, and realizing the great grip that I had on the phone (while typing) because of the case: unbelievable, bursting joy
{Report Card Review}
Look and Aesthetics: A+
I'm into really simplistic but chic phone cases, and this one absolutely does the job well in that department. I was a little thrown off for two seconds with the circle pattern on the back of the case, but I honestly don't mind it now. This case compliments the rose gold backing on my phone so nicely, and I love it. The clear and grey/off white color gives it a really nice finish and a clean look, and it just looks like a boss holds that phone (lol).
Grip Ability and Hold: A+
I definitely have a perfect grip on this phone. My biggest impression of a phone case comes to me while I'm holding the phone for long periods of time, or typing longer messages on it. I like the firm feel of a phone case while typing, and I like for it to feel as sturdy as possible, and this case does just that!
Durability: A
I've only had this case for just a few days, but I'm pretty much going to grade the white one and the brown one that my crew member got me. Since they're made the exact same, I feel like I can give a fair durability grade. Since receiving the red/brownish one back in March, it has lasted pretty nicely the extended times that I've worn it on my phone. It has suffered a couple scratches from situations that I can't recall, but it hasn't ruined the case in any way.
Phone Protection: A+
I'm still the Queen of dropping my phone, y'all. So far with this case, I've dropped my phone a couple of times on the airplane because I put it in goofy spots. Each time, it has sustained zero injuries! I can't recall if the cracks to my Zagg Invisishield screen protector were there before or after putting this case on, but the actual phone screen still has zero scratches (I peeled the screen protector up a bit to check that).
Average Review Grade: A+
So, it's safe to say I am also in love with this phone case! To me, it's simplistic and extremely cute! I like the clean look to it, and I feel like I will have this one on my phone for at least three more weeks. I know I have said that about plenty of cases, but y'all just read the long journey to acquiring this case, and it feels necessary to keep it on for as long as I can.
Cost Justification and Worthiness: A-
This case is a little pricey, and I will admit I do have a bad habit of constantly buying expensive phone cases, but I will say that for the durability and simplistic look, it is worth the amount I paid plus my discount. And honestly, even if I didn't receive a discount, I would've paid full price for one. Mostly because of the journey I endured for the case, and because my heart was set on it for so long!
No, I don't think I'll buy too many more phone cases from this company for over $30, but the one that I have now is worth it! I only say I won't be buying too many more just because their stock of cases pretty much all look the same. They'e all very cute (don't get me wrong), but I like to have some variety in my big box of phone cases in our living room!
